Cone Beam CT Scan

An image of a CS 9300 scanning systemThe CS 9300 system gives our oral and maxillofacial practice state-of-the-art technology to help Dr. Pitcher diagnose potential issues more accurately and provide treatment with confidence. Unlike a traditional spiral CT scanner, this 3-D system utilizes cone beam CT technology and provides precise, crystal-clear digital images while minimizing your exposure to radiation.

Our new 3-D system enables us to perform a wider range of diagnoses and treatments in our office, helping to reduce multiple visits. The CS 9300 cone beam scanner allows us to choose the field of view, or scanning area, that best suits your specific treatment needs by focusing specifically on your area of concern.

Digital Intraoral Scan

Our office has also introduced the CS 3600 intraoral scanner to obtain digital impressions. This allows us to avoid using bulky impression trays and impression material. With the CS 3600 scanner we are able to obtain virtual impressions digitally with the use of a camera that takes a scan of the upper and lower jaws which can then be merged with the 3-dimensional cone beam CT and be printed as a 3-dimensional model.

The CS 9300 and CS 3600 together with our planning software brings the latest 3D technology to Pittsford, Oral, Facial & Implant Surgery, providing unmatched visualization of anatomical detail, which aids in treatment planning and helps us to better explain the particulars of your case, as well as address any questions you may have. Dr. Pitcher uses this innovative technology to quickly and easily share 3-D images of the area of concern with your referring doctor – allowing the doctors to collaborate on your care, improving your experience, and delivering a positive treatment outcome.
