SPECIALIZED TRAINING

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires an additional 4-6 years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. Dr. Pitcher, as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. After completing his training in oral & maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Pitcher has further distinguished himself and demonstrated the knowledge of the skills central the the specialty of oral & maxillofacial surgery by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), and authoring a textbook chapter on technology and navigation in implant surgery.

Dr. Pitcher is a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon who focuses his practice on wisdom tooth removal, 3-D imagingimage-guided surgery, placement of dental implantsbone grafting,  oral pathology, and facial injuries.

INNOVATION

Our office uses the latest digital imaging and treatment planning technology. We are happy to discuss your surgery and have large monitors installed in each room to help you see your treatment plan from start to finish. It is important to us that you have all your questions answered and understand your plan and treatment options before making a decision on your care. Use of 3-D imaging and virtual surgical planning improves surgical outcomes and decreases recovery time. 

SURGICAL STAFF

The surgical staff at Pittsford, Oral, Facial & Implant Surgery are experienced and certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in the administration of IV sedation and surgery. Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation and outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
